Founded in 1600 by Pierre de Chauvin de Tonnetuit, the Tadoussac Trading Post bears witness to the birth of New France. In this place of commerce, Aboriginals and Europeans not only traded goods, they also shared knowledge and values. Did you know that the Chauvin Trading Post is a replica of the very first structure built according to the plans drawn by Samuel de Champlain?
